Ignor the typo...I put this together pretty quick. I meant to PROVE it. :)

Everyone, let me introduce you to the newest member of the Davidson clan. We'll he's not a full fledged member yet, but his prospects for acceptance are pretty good. :)
Meet Sweet Pea.

Here is a picture of the little guy from the same angle as if he was sitting on a copy machine. See the Boy Stuff? The arrow is pointing at it.
Mother and baby are healthy. Baby is 9in long and approx 12oz. He's in the 46th percentile for size, which was a relief since both Andrea and I were BIG. I'm working on the ultrasound video. I should have it up later this evening.

We find out the sex in just over a week. At that point we'll eliminate 50% of our naming block issues. Both of us have our favorites. We've been thinking about it and talking about it for a few months now and we wanted to share some of our ideas with everyone.Obviously none of these names are final. This is just a representative sample of the direction of our thinking.
Boy:
James
Origin: Hebrew
Meaning: Supplanter
Evan
Origin: Welsh, Hebrew
Meaning: God is Gracious, Swift
Ethan
Origin: English
Meaning: Strong, firm, impetuous
Duncan
Origin: Celtic
Meaning: Dark Skinned Warrior
Ian
Origin: Scottish
Meaning: God is Gracious
Pulling out the girl names for now...
As you can see these lists are pretty short. One reason is we're trying to steer clear of the very popular names. To help us do this we've been looking at various baby name websites and books. My Friend Erika Thornes who is expecting her third child, showed me this awesome baby name site.
This site is very cool, it lists the names visually over time and shows the naming trends over the past 200 years! Note the fall off of Adolf after WWII.

Andrea and I visited USA BABY, Babies-R-Us, and Target to start gift registries. I honestly had no idea how much stuff we needed. WOW. So, if you're feeling generous, there is a link to the right to go directly there. Also, since we won't know the sex for another month, we've kept it gender neutral. This will probably change.
Our décor theme is Sea Life. Think The Little Mermaid meets Finding Nemo meets Cave Drawings. Don't quite have it yet, here's an example. Aren't they cute?

There are a bunch of different checklists available for suggested baby items, some of which are fairly daunting. What we'd love to find out is what you all found really useful. Things that aren't on those comprehensive lists. Those little things that made/make life easier, the things you had no idea you needed and then saved your life. Get the idea? Please post suggestions and questions in the comments.
Also, we’ll probably be staying in our apartment once the baby arrives so we’ll be limited with what we can do for décor. We’re looking for suggestions in this area as well. We’ve found some cool wall stickers, printable stencils, wall borders, hanging fabric but we’d love to hear as many ideas as possible. Give us those comments; if you can’t figure out how to leave a comment email me, I'll walk you through it.
Andrea’s Health Update: No more sickness :) She’s developed a healthy appetite. Her favorite foods are currently Guacamole and French Fries. (Red Robin is a hit right now). She’s showing a little and has that pregnant glow. Oh yea.
