My new friend, Ruff!
Tuesday, September 8, 2009, 10:31 PM
Rogan got a gift certificate for Build-A-Bear from Uncle Brian, Aunt Renee, cousin David, and baby Ethan for his 2nd birthday. We went to the store and Rogan had a bear of a time (pun intended) picking out which friend he wanted. He finally settled on a scruffy dog with a rocker outfit!

Meet Ruff.

Ruff

If you ask nicely, Rogan will sing a song for you while Ruff accompanies on the guitar.

Rogan how old are you? Two! And how old is Grandpa? Two! :)

That's right Rogan is two years old. Can't believe it. So this blog post is to take stock of where our little man is at.

First, the stats. Rogan is 35 inches long (guess I should say tall) and 29 lbs. which puts him in the 50-75 percentile. Andrea was saying that when a kid is 2 years old you can take their height (35 inches) and double it and get your height as an adult. 70 in. or 5'10", give or take.

Rogan's birthday party was on his actual birthday, Aug 22nd! Here are some highlights in picture form.

The Bubble Shooter!
The day started with a gift from Nana and Grandpa. The bubble shooter!

Bubble shooter = crowd pleaser
The bubble shooter is a crowd pleaser.

More bubbles
The bubble shooter wasn't the only bubble making device available.

In the sanbox!
The sandbox also provided plenty of entertainment during the party.

Maning the BBQ
I heard the food was better than the Broncos...ok..back to Rogan stuff! ;)

socalizing!
There were plenty of family and friends there to celebrate with Rogan.

The contruction cake!
Andrea never ceases to amaze with her great cakes. This year the theme was construction zone. Check out the amazing cake with dirt, trucks and rocks! It tasted pretty darn good! But don't take my word for it, check out these...

mmmm ice cream and cake!

Cake Shove!
Eamon enjoyed it!

The evite said "gifts optional, have you seen our house?" but of course that didn't stop the grand parents. I mean it is Rogan's 2nd birthday after all and this is the first year where he can really appreciate new toys.

Presents
There was quite a pile of loot.

OHH TRUCKS!
Ohh, trucks!

BIG TRUCKS!
The new Cat trucks were a BIG hit, and not just because they were BIG trucks. They move and make sounds AND they have a 'mute' button! (score!)

Toy chest full of toys!
I think this next one was a gift for me a little too, a Mariner's toy chest full of toys!

Nice Toy chest
Rogan wasted no time playing.

So the other thing that I'm excited to share is our list of Rogan's words and some of his favorites!
