Andrea's birthday was on Friday, May 23rd so she got a long weekend worth of celebration! We started off the long weekend by buying a new refrigerator. Stainless steal very nice!
Inside the house is FULL of flowers which she got from all the people that love her. There are 4 big bouquets! Then Andrea got to go out and plant all the pots and flower beds in our freshly demolished front yard. It really brightens things up.

On Sunday we had Andrea's party!

Oma and Nana put together an elegant and fun party.

Andrea scavenging for her presents.
For the presents, everyone had to hide their presents and write a little clue as to their location in the house. Andrea then got to go on a scavenger hunt to find all her gifts. She got a new jogging stroller, a new watch, some great gardening stuff, some awesome gift cards, and a hot air balloon ride. She asked for a big balloon for her birthday ;)

Balloon Ride

Jogging Stroller, note the housewife apron she got from her mother! You'll have to ask them about that one! :)
We had a wonderful buffet style dinner with great food and followed it up with cake! MMMMM.

Lots of candles!

Homemade birthday cake, always good!
Happy Birthday Honey!

Rogan Likes his new stroller.
Unfortunately on Monday, Rogan got Croup so we had a lazy day inside attending to our little guy. He seems to be doing better.

It's hard work to look this cute.

I don't know if you can call this "working" but Rogan always keeps the morale of the workers high!
We demolished our front yard over the weekend. Tearing out the ugly arbor and deck out front. Of course, now all we have is a pit of dirt, but it will be super nice when we get in finished up.

Grandpa Steve putting the chainsaw to good use.

Oh great, now we have to clean this up don't we!
There was just over a half a ton of debris. But we got it all in the truck in one trip.

We're already planning out what we're going to do with our new open front yard. Big plans!

We had a very nice day today up on the Sammamish Plateau. The temperature got up to 90, which is pretty hot for around here. We wanted to go out an enjoy the nice weather with Rogan so we picked up an inflatable pool. Andrea found the perfect one. Check it out!
It was a big hit. He was in there for an hour in the morning and got back in again later in the afternoon when Oma and Opa arrived to play.

Drying off in a snuggly towel. Thanks Claudia!
We're also finally able to start enjoying our back yard. We set up a little play yard for Rogan in the back. Our picnic blanket is the same size as our play yard fence. It worked out pretty well.

So with the hot weather we broke out some of Rogan's summer clothes. His short outfits and tank tops. Somehow this hat found it's way out as well. I think someone is trying to sneak something. We're Broncos fans in this house! :)

For those of you that made comments about how neat of an eater Rogan was while we were in Denver, these pictures are for you!We started giving Rogan some Cheerios which he really enjoys. However, this reminded him of how much he likes to feed himself. I think you can see where this is all going...

It's prunes not chocolate FYI :)

Nicely done, you got at least a quarter of it on your face and hands!
Meanwhile, in the other room. Rogan's new mobility has given him access to the toy basket. He really likes to play (with everything). Most of the time he'll take out a toy, look at it, toss it across the room and move on. Of course, he'll go back to the tossed toys as he makes his rounds through the room. The result: see for yourself!

Remember to clean up after yourself Rogan! :)

Sunday was Mother's Day. Did you call your mother? Odds are if you're reading this blog you probably did or you got a call. Either way, Mother's Day is a day to let those very special people know how much they are appreciated. Not only by their children, but by their spouses, friends, family. This year was Andrea's first Mother's Day. I'll have to let her write more about it but I think she had a pretty awesome day.
