Pool Time
Saturday, May 17, 2008, 02:47 PM
We had a very nice day today up on the Sammamish Plateau. The temperature got up to 90, which is pretty hot for around here. We wanted to go out an enjoy the nice weather with Rogan so we picked up an inflatable pool. Andrea found the perfect one. Check it out!

It was a big hit. He was in there for an hour in the morning and got back in again later in the afternoon when Oma and Opa arrived to play.

Drying off in a snuggly towel. Thanks Claudia!

We're also finally able to start enjoying our back yard. We set up a little play yard for Rogan in the back. Our picnic blanket is the same size as our play yard fence. It worked out pretty well.

So with the hot weather we broke out some of Rogan's summer clothes. His short outfits and tank tops. Somehow this hat found it's way out as well. I think someone is trying to sneak something. We're Broncos fans in this house! :)

The tides have turned...

For those of you that made comments about how neat of an eater Rogan was while we were in Denver, these pictures are for you!

We started giving Rogan some Cheerios which he really enjoys. However, this reminded him of how much he likes to feed himself. I think you can see where this is all going...

It's prunes not chocolate FYI :)

Nicely done, you got at least a quarter of it on your face and hands!

Meanwhile, in the other room. Rogan's new mobility has given him access to the toy basket. He really likes to play (with everything). Most of the time he'll take out a toy, look at it, toss it across the room and move on. Of course, he'll go back to the tossed toys as he makes his rounds through the room. The result: see for yourself!

Remember to clean up after yourself Rogan! :)

First Mother's Day
Monday, May 12, 2008, 06:36 AM
Sunday was Mother's Day. Did you call your mother? Odds are if you're reading this blog you probably did or you got a call. Either way, Mother's Day is a day to let those very special people know how much they are appreciated. Not only by their children, but by their spouses, friends, family.

This year was Andrea's first Mother's Day. I'll have to let her write more about it but I think she had a pretty awesome day.

Rogan's Christening
Thursday, May 8, 2008, 08:32 PM
Nana, Andrea and I brought Rogan to Denver on May 4th, this past weekend to have him Christened at my Parent's church. It was the first time Rogan has been on a plane, the first time he's meet his great grandparents, his Aunt Shannon (godmother) and his (great) Uncle Chris, as well as the many friends and family that helped to celebrate this occasion with us. In addition, May 4th is also my father's birthday and he said he couldn't have asked for a better present than to share his birthday with Rogan.

What a great helper!

Rogan meeting his Great Grandparents McElroy. This room was filled with big smiles.

So, funny story. Rogan was extremely over-stimulated from theplane ride, meeting all the new people, sleeping in a new place, you name it. Anyway, the night before the service Rogan didn't sleep very well so he was very tired. About 15 minutes or so into the service he began to fuss so I took him out to the narthex and walked him around. He zonked out and we actually brought him up to the fountain completely asleep. He didn't even wake up when I passed him to Pastor CJ. It wasn't until the cold water was put on his head that his eyes opened up. He didn't fuss, but he certainly wasn't used to waking up this way. He made it though the rest of the service without any problems.

You think my parents are happy? I have to squint from all that glowing! :)

Rogan with a very happy Nana.

Rogan's baptism cake. My dad also had a birthday cake. They were so rich, we actually had cake left when we headed home and that's saying something. :)

The Davidson men looking sharp in their outfits. We clean up nice don't we? :)

Rogan had us all beat though, look at how cute he is.

:)

It was a great weekend for everyone. What a happy joyful time. It felt great to share it with so many friends and family. A weekend we will remember for the rest of our lives.
